Brakes are a critical system on your vehicle. Don't allow badly worn brakes to put you, your passengers, or the public at risk.

At Minden Auto Care, we recommend a brake inspection and servicing every six months.

Always keep an eye out for symptoms of failing brakes:

• A squealing sound when you press the brake pedals. Don't ignore this sound. It has been placed there by the manufacturer as a warning the brakes need attention.
• Grinding - the metal on the pad base is exposed and grinding against the rotor. Continued driving will cause more damage and may be dangerous.
• Shaking and vibration in the steering wheel.
• Long Pedal Travel - your foot goes all the way to the floor when you brake. Soon your brakes may fail completely.
• Metallic Smell - this warrants an inspection.
• Brake Pull - braking pulls the car to the right or to the left.

Leaving any symptoms unattended is bound to lead to more damage, more danger, and more expense.
